Dear friends and colleagues,
Our nation has been rocked by the recent events in Las Vegas. No words can express the devastation we have experienced as a state, but more importantly the loss experienced by family and friends touched by this tragedy.
The support we have received nationwide in the wake of this tragic event has been unmeasurable. As the national chair of The Council of State Governments, I see now more than ever the importance of states working together to move our nation forward.
Las Vegas is tenacious and we have already begun rebuilding trust and security within our city. As the CSG 2017 National Conference nears, I want to welcome you to a city that stands united against violence of any forms.
We will not allow this event to stop us from being the resourceful and passionate Nevadans that built our great state and the thriving city of Las Vegas. I look forward to seeing each of you in December.
