Chainsaw Safety & Operations
A CT ROAD MASTER PROGRAM ELECTIVE WORKSHOP
This course focuses on how today's chainsaw technology can be combined with proper cutting and handling techniques to yield safe and precise results in every day situations as well as in the extraordinary conditions seen after a storm. Participants will gain a better understanding of trees and/or parts of trees that are under compression or tension and how to use the chainsaw's design and reaction forces to control the release of this stored energy.
Who Should Attend

This program is designed for public works professionals who are responsible for road maintenance and who may be required to operate a chainsaw as part of their duties. This is a perfect class for new employees and a good refresher for more experienced workers.

Public Works Directors, Highway Superintendents, Foremen and Crew Leaders are encouraged to attend.
