Dear Leaders, Volunteers and Parents,

Happy Fall!


Now is the time for hiking, pumpkin patches, apple picking, leaf rubbings, fall sports, hot cocoa, and starting off the new Girl Scout year. Here are some other  fun Autumn-themed ideas for your troop or daughter.

October is Fall Product Sale Month!
Fall Product Sale is a great way to start the new Girl Scout year. 

We've added several new products to the candy and nut lineup, and there's lots of other "new" news:
 
Girl Scouts dream of designing their own patch  - and with $200 of online Fall Product Sales girls can do just that! The patch will be shipped directly to the girl.


 
All online sales in the QSP/Nut Online Program wi ll  automatically transfer to the NUT-E system nightly. No need to collect Girls' Online Sales Report!
 
Customers can easily toggle between magazine and nut/candy stores.
 
Text and share feature - when registering your Girl Scout you can choose to get a textable link sent to your phone, which you can then forward to friends and family who can order from their phone!
 
The Online site will be open until November 30 . Online Sales through November 30 will count toward rewards. 

Girls can register for the 2015 Fall Product Sale on our website starting October 1st.


Fall Product Sale is an integral part of the Girl Scout's journey toward leadership development.  Girls experience goal setting, teamwork, presentation skills, customer service and money management while having fun and earning rewards.

Silver Award Deadline - 9/30/15
Last Call!
 
September 30th is the last day for Silver Award Final reports for:
  • Girls who have just started 9th grade
  • Girls who wish to walk in the November 2015 Silver Ceremony
Final Reports should be e-mailed to [email protected] or mailed to the Poughkeepsie Office (GSHH // 3 Neptune Road // Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 // Attn: Silver Award)
 
Please allow up to 2 weeks for a response - at this time of year, we receive around two hundred final reports, and we want to review each and respond to each individually.
 
Thank you if you have already turned in your final report.  If you have not heard back from us, and you're concerned it was not received, please e-mail Gail at [email protected] or call at 914.747.3080 ext.412.

In honor of the new Membership year, EF Tours is offering a $100 discount to anyone who signs up before October 31st:

In case you missed it, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson launched our new website last month. 
Please take some time to visit  www.girlscoutshh.org  to get yourself familiar with the new layout.

Some Helpful Hints:
  • To continue the fun in the 2015-2016 year, click on the "Re-Register" button on the top menu.
  • Girl Awards are now under About > Our Program > Highest Awards
  • Volunteer Learning Opportunities are currently scheduled through December 31st, and can be found under the Events Tab
  • Information about renting our camp properties or facilities can be found under Our Council > Rent Our Facilities. Booking is now open via our new online portal.
  • Shop Hours for October are listed in the Our Council section
  • The Leader Resource Center is under the Volunteer tab under Volunteer Toolkit. The full Volunteer Toolkit will be made available later this year.
  • Fall Product Sale will start on October 1st. All information can be found under the Cookies+ Tab.
  • Most commonly used forms, are now at the top of the Forms and Documents page. If you need a different form, you can either search by the name of the form or click on "Options" to sort all available forms by category.
