Catholic Charities of Central Florida- Emergency Family Services
"For 4 years now, we have gotten professional people who have a heart for service and they've enabled us to provide more services to those in need in Brevard County. The CV serves in the Emergency Family Services program assisting people who need help with rent, utilities, and mortgage. Without CVIF we would not be able to serve the many people who currently come to us for assistance. The CVIF volunteer is half of the program, and without it, half the county would not be able to be served."

Closing Retreat and Re-Comissioning

The end of June posed as a time for joy and sadness as CVIF held it's final formation retreat for the class of 2012-2013. CV Greg Somers summed up the retreat by saying that he experienced God this weekend by "...sharing my experiences and what I learned since the last retreat with the other volunteers. Most of that was church related."

CV Ariel Pomputius reflects on the weekend, culminating all this year's retreats:
"The retreats were a chance to come together and reaffirm our faith and our service. Retreats reminded me that I was not alone in my service, and that my work serving others was valued and appreciated."
