ORIENTATION 2013
Service Day at SHFB!
CVIF Welcomes 15 Volunteers for the 2013-2014 Service Year!
On July 28th, the new class of volunteers came from all over the US to the beautiful San Pedro Center in Winter Park. The next 5 days gave the volunteers time to build community with one another, serve together, learn more about CVIF and it's values, pray together, and have a bit of fun! CVIF welcomed some amazing guests that spoke about Spirituality, Prayer, Social Justice, Community, and Personal Growth.  The week ended with all of CVIF attending mass together with Bishop Noonan and a Comissioning Ceremony with Father George Nursey.

    CVIF's Lasting Impact

CVIF Alumni Greg Somers reflects on his year of service:
"The greatest gift I got from my year at CVIF was exactly what I really wanted and needed, but didn't know I was even allowed to ask for.  I wanted to look, act, and feel like a man who was walking a righteous path, who carried his cross with faith and pride, and instilled others with a passion to believe in "Good" on this Earth.  This is what I learned and what I will take with me as I depart along with the friendships, triumphs, and enough incredible stories to last a lifetime.

Matthew 16:25- For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it."
