DECEMBER HUNT PROGRAM DEADLINE APPROACHING WITH NEW HUNTS
December is right around the corner. That means time is running out to apply for the month's lottery hunt program, featuring opportunities to hunt on some of the most exclusive private clubs in the county!
The deadline to apply for ALL December hunts is November 18 and will include new waterfowl, dove and pheasant combo hunts at our Goose Lake property through the end of the season. Goose Lake is located only a couple hours from Los Angeles.

SAN JACINTO WILDLIFE AREA THREATENED
The Riverside County Planning Commission approved a development plan that will impact one of the few public hunting areas in Southern California. The Lewis Homes development near the communities of Lakeview and Nuevo will place thousands of homes near the San Jacinto Wildlife Area and the private duck clubs at Mystic Lake. The development plan will be up for approval by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors as soon as November 14. WOMEN'S WATERFOWL HUNT PROGRAM AT STATEN ISLAND
New for the 2017-18 Waterfowl Season, our Women's Hunt Program is headed to Staten Island in the Sacramento Delta! Join us for dinner and laughs Friday night, get a good night's rest, and then enjoy a mentored hunt Saturday Morning. Finish the day with a celebratory lunch, all on CWA! California Waterfowl  is an award-winning 501(C)(3) nonprofit, hunter-supported conservation organization with a mission to conserve the state's waterfowl, wetlands, and hunting heritage.  In the last 20+ years, we've completed almost 1,500 individual projects to protect, restore, and enhance more than 500,000 acres, providing habitat for millions of birds and animals.  Our Wood Duck Program has hatched more than 770,000 ducklings, while our Banding Programs have marked nearly 257,000 birds.  Our Youth and Education Programs have reached more than 320,000 children, young adults, and families to help to create a better understanding of biology, conservation, and outdoor heritage.  All efforts are supported largely by donations and the work of nearly 1,500 dedicated and tireless volunteers.
