CWA SCORES THIRD FOUR-STAR RATING IN A ROW FROM CHARITY NAVIGATOR
It happened AGAIN! For the third year in a row, California Waterfowl has scored a four-star rating from Charity Navigator ! What does this mean? The short version is your membership and charitable dollar goes further with CWA. Upwards of 89 cents of every dollar goes back to our habitat restoration, public policy and hunting heritage programs.
If you'd like to donate online and help further our mission, here's where to go:  https://m.calwaterfowl.org/Donate-online

For more details on our four-star rating, go here:

"We are proud to announce California Waterfowl Association has earned our third consecutive 4-star rating," said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. "This is our highest possible rating and indicates that your organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way.

"Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that California Waterfowl Association exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work.

"Only 17% of the charities we evaluate have received at least 3 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that California Waterfowl Association outperforms most other charities in America."

CWA ATTENDS SAN JACINTO WA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT MEETING
The Riverside County Planning Commission took testimony today on a proposed housing development right at the edge of the San Jacinto Wildlife Area, but postponed a decision until Oct. 18 for procedural reasons. It will continue taking testimony at that meeting. ( Click here to see CWA's comments on the project.)

If you haven't let the commission know yet how you feel about the project, there's still time. If you can't attend on the 18th, you can write to Russell Brady, Planner, County of Riverside Planning Department, 4080 Lemon Street, 12th Floor, Riverside, CA 92501.
