Children's and Youth Ministries - Fellowship and Service January 8th: Our Annual 3 Kings Pancake Breakfast in Hughson Hall 9:30-10:30. Come straight to Hughson Hall for songs, storytelling (with costumes), and-of course-- pancakes. We need help with setting up, guiding the cooking, and taking down. Seeking donations and participation for all ages and every family! January 16th 10 am-noon Martin Luther King Day of Service We join with Congregation Shir Shalom to fill backpacks with school supplies for refugee families affiliated with Journeys End. Adults and children of all ages will be able to help. Join our Jewish friends in faith for this project. For those of you who are not familiar- Journey's End Refugee Services is a community-based organization with the mission of welcoming refugees without regard to ethnic origin or creed and to assist them to become healthy, independent, contributing members of the community.
We are seeking donations of school supplies: paper, notebooks, pens/pencils, crayons/markers, anything that strikes your fancy. Refugee children begin school with nothing, and the smallest gift will be a big step toward their success. Please plan to come to join in this event (4660 Sheridan Dr, Williamsville, NY 14221), for the morning or for a portion of it. We will serve kosher pizza for lunch. Please RSVP to the office (633-7800) or to Emily Sityar (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Thursday January 12th so that we have an accurate estimate for our order.
