Join Alliance Française in celebrating New Orleans for our 8th annual Gala, featuring live Dixieland jazz by the Jack Brass Band while enjoying a three-course Cajun feast and the talents of Maîtresse de Cérémonie Cyndy Brucato.  Sample the finest French wines while having your future divined by palm and tarot card readers. Let yourself be guided through an extensive selection of live and silent auction items hosted by Kurt Johnson.  Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Alliance Française in its mission to promote French-speaking cultures from around the world in our community. Looking for some new ideas for snack, dessert or even as part of a meal ? Damien will share some sweet and savory recipes for cake tout en français. Beginner 2 and above. The date of this class has changed from what was originally published.

High School Scholarships
Each year, Alliance Française Mpls/St Paul awards six local high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors with a one-year scholarship to language classes. The scholarship program covers all membership fees, tuition and materials for the student for one calendar year, a total value of $2,000 per participant. Learn more and apply here. The DELF, or diplôme d'études en langue française is an official qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify French language competency for non-native French speakers. This certification or diploma is valid for life.
These certificates are valid for life. DELF and DALF consist of six independent certificates that correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Registration forms and more info

This increase will help to support our programming and our efforts to promote French language and French speaking cultures within our community. After years of planning, the time has come - Minnesota will be the featured guest at the  Foire de Tours in our French sister city May 5-14! An exhibition similar to our state fair, the Foire highlights gastronomy, regional specialties, consumer products, live entertainment and more. Minnesota will have a dedicated exhibit space to showcase everything that makes the north star state unique including an eatery headed by award-winning chef  Sean Sherman preparing indigenous foods and hometown favorites such as wild rice and walleye. Minnesota and Masqueray Tour
This Saturday morning, April 29, 11:30-12:30, Dr. Johan van Parys will give a tour of one of Emanuel Masqueray's masterpieces, the Basilica of St. Mary, at Hennepin and 17th, in downtown Minneapolis.  Feel free to join the small group organized by the French American Heritage Foundation.  The tour is free.  Please let Dick Bernard  know of your interest, and be on time.  They will meet at the inside entrance of the sanctuary (the Hennepin Avenue side).
