Manager's Notes

We made it through another summer and just finished up our maintenance week to get the center sparkling again. As you know, we are an extremely busy facility over the summer and we appreciate your patience during our annual maintenance week. A big "thank you" to our maintenance staff as well as our other staff for working extremely hard throughout the year, but especially during that last week of summer.
All of our programs, which include the tennis camp, aqua fit classes, swim lessons, fitness classes and other summer camps went extremely well this summer.
As you may have noticed, we are starting the resurfacing of the tennis courts which were in bad shape with help from all the rain we were blessed with this last year. Please bear with us as we will be down at least two courts each week to complete this project as quickly as possible.
Due to the fact that this is a very old facility there have been many major projects being done along the way. The roof is being repaired in stages and should be completed soon along with the fitness mats that are slowly being replaced in the outdoor fitness area.
We are constantly making small changes to our fitness schedule so be sure to check our website frequently . On the website, we attempt to keep it updated with anything going on at the facility as well as the tennis, pool and fitness schedules. In order to communicate with everyone we keep the website updated as well as send out emails through Constant Contact.
We hope all of you continue to enjoy using the facility and we appreciate all feedback as to how we are doing!
Have a great day and Fall season!

Top Seed Tennis Academy

Dear Members,

The Top Seed Tennis Professionals and I sincerely thank everyone for making this past summer a great success! Our annual summer Junior Tennis Camp was the largest ever with over 2500 participating kids.

The Adult Socials and Tournaments managed by Jeff Richards continue to be a great success. Top Seed is excited about the upcoming Fall programs which include the Adult Leagues managed by Jason Gaona that are always full and very popular.

On a personal note, I would like to inform everyone that our Tennis Director, Jonas Wallgard, is taking a leave of absence for the next nine months in order to spend time with his family in Sweden. The staff and I wish Jonas and his family all the best! While Jonas is away, I have named Brady Hiete the Co-Tennis Director. Brady will be assisting me to make sure our tennis programs continue to be the best in Southern California! I also named Jason Gaona the Interim Head Professional during the time of Jonas' leave.

We are excited about the new Elite Tennis Program for juniors that participate in early school dismissal programs which will be offered on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00-6:00pm.

Additionally, I am happy to announce the hiring of a new tennis assistant professional - Brett Ross. Brett played top junior tennis, most noteworthy the US Open with John Isner, followed by college tennis at Wake Forest. Brett then turned pro and was a top 400 professional in singles. After retiring from the tour he became the Head Coach at Georgia State University. We are extremely lucky to have such an outstanding addition to our incredible Top Seed Tennis Professional Staff! Brett is available for private lessons as well as group clinics.

We have many exciting things going on at the club this Fall and I hope to see everyone getting involved with our many programs!

Sincerely,

Steve McAvoy
