Whiskey, rum, gin, vodka—a lot of different varieties of booze are born in a nondescript suite in a San Marcos, Calif. business park. The 2,000-square-foot space is also the birthplace of small businesses. The suite is what founder and owner Casey Miles calls a distillery incubator. The California Spirits Company—the official name of the place—offers a licensed production facility for nascent distilling companies to make their product. (San Diego Union Tribune)
