As outlined in the MCARE Act, the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority is responsible for appointing and maintaining a panel of experts to provide guidance to the Authority and other state agencies on infection-related topics, such as:
- Educational needs for various types of facilities and healthcare workers
- Reasonable goals for HAI reduction
- Evidence-based practices
The Authority is seeking applications to fill vacancies from an ambulatory surgical facility, rural hospital, county nursing home, and for-profit nursing home. Experience in surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, podiatry, dentistry, behavioral health, pharmacy, and facilities management is preferred.
