IACP 13th Annual Networking and Educational Forum
Call for Pre-Forum Institute, Advanced
and General Interest Workshop Proposals
A new approach to
Forum programming...
As our Collaborative community matures, so does our need for more in-depth
education. In order to meet this need, Forum programming will be designed a
little differently this year.
Pre-Forum Institutes and Advanced Workshops
Pre-Forum Institutes and Advanced Forum Workshops will undergo a different
selection process. We are seeking experienced educators, with a proven track record
of providing in-depth learning experiences to Collaborative practitioners. For purposes
of "advanced" workshops, courses should be geared towards Collaborative practitioners
who have completed a substantial number of Collaborative cases. Advanced courses
must include content which will challenge experienced practitioners and provide deeper insights into the various aspects of the Collaborative process. Pre-Forum Institutes are
six hours in length; advanced workshops may be ninety minutes to three hours in length. Proposals for advanced courses designed for a specific and singular professional
discipline are welcomed.
Those interested in teaching a Pre-Forum Institute or Advanced workshop are asked to
submit a paragraph, describing course objectives, content and educational experience of
the presenter(s) to Cecelia Harris at cecelia@collaborativepractice.com.
A member of the Advanced Course Selection Committee may request additional and more detailed information as well as work with potential presenters regarding course design to ensure the selection of courses which meet the above criteria.
Forum Workshops of General Interest
Workshops of general interest remain important to our community! The Forum is designed to provide educational opportunities to participants at all levels of experience; including those attending their first Forum and those who are new to the field, as well as those who have engaged in substantial Collaborative work. We encourage proposals for workshops with new perspectives on CP, basic skill building and those meeting the specific educational needs of financial, mental health and legal professionals in the delivery of Collaborative Practice services.
General Interest workshop proposals are accepted in electronic format only, and should be sent by email to cecelia@collaborativepractice.com. The workshop proposal form can be found here.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: MARCH 30, 2012
We cannot guarantee consideration of incomplete proposals or those submitted after the deadline.
Your proposal submission indicates your availability and intent to present a workshop if selected. Please do not submit a proposal for consideration unless you are able to commit to attendance at the Forum.
You will receive confirmation of our receipt of your proposal within 48 hours. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact our office within 48 hours.
Presenters are eligible for reduced Forum registration fees.
