The Rhode Island Green Building Council (RIGBC) is now soliciting nominations for election to the Board of Directors. We hope you will consider this opportunity to contribute at the leadership level and to help shape the Chapter's future and Rhode Island's green building industry, while creating lasting business relationships. The RIGBC is seeking Directors who are committed to increasing sustainability in our built environment, familiar with green building, experienced in leading volunteer organizations, and willing to help us serve our community. RIGBC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Who can vote?

Terms & Meetings

The term of office is for one year from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. Board meetings will be held monthly, on the third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. unless otherwise scheduled.

Qualifications & Commitments

Given the scope of the Chapter's programs and local influence, the Board seeks diversity among types of USGBC member companies and leadership qualities, to ensure a strong and dynamic local leadership. Candidates will be selected to provide a mix of expertise, potential contributions, leadership and business experience, diversity, and continuity.
