Steeper Energy is in the process of commercializing its proprietary technology, Hydrofaction?, which will economically produce a petroleum-equivalent oil from biomass residues. The Hydrofaction? platform stands out as a mature technology capable of producing renewable hydrocarbon-like oil from woody biomass in a single processing step.
What type of business model does your company fall under?
A technology licensing model with royalty calculated on a per barrel and per day basis on finished product. The company is also sought after worldwide to provide testing programs to parties looking at different biomass conversions to fuel, which includes large forestry product companies and agricultural organizations.
What is Steeper Energy's most recent milestone achievement?
Steeper Energy has recently been meeting important milestones in securing financing and influential strategic partners for its industrial scale demonstration plant (ISDP). The ISDP will be a two orders of magnitude scale up of the currently operating 0.5 barrel per day pilot plant in Denmark.
