Are you tech savvy?

Have you ever built webpages?

Can you move souls with a picture or tweet?

Are you a people person?

Do you have solid communication skills?

Would you value getting connected with talented writers, editors, and agents across the continent?
If you are interested in a leadership role,
we have those, too!
The Writer's Garret is looking for several gifted and enthusiastic individuals who want to make a difference in the literary arts scene! Some projects can be tended long-distance, so you can live ANYWHERE and still be part of this exciting work.

SPRING / SUMMER / FALL INTERNS: We have several openings for students--traditional, returning, or the " of Life" variety. While unpaid, internships present unique opportunities to build  administrative skills, social connections, and professional resumes. Interns receive an array of experiences ranging from mentoring children, proofing and editing writing, hosting events, scheduling classes, developing lesson plans, running social-media campaigns, building webpages, and more. Internships can run 5-20 weeks, 10-40 hours a week, and be renewed up to two times. Certificates of completion with a letter of reference are issued at the end of a successful internship.

APPRENTICESHIPS (Pre-Employment): Additionally, we're interviewing for multiple paid summer apprenticeships (flat stipend), all leading to more permanent opportunities based on successful performance. We especially need teaching artists and those skilled in arts administration. Prior experience in the nonprofit / literary arts / educational world is recommended.

VOLUNTEERS / LEADERS / WORK-EXCHANGE HELPERS: Lastly, tell us your level of interest, and we'll work to match your skills and schedule with The Garret's needs (which are plenty!). We're especially seeking task-force members, trustee prospects, grant writers, and office assistants.
If you join our "Work-Exchange" (WE) program, we can credit your help through "inner circle" discounts on memberships, program tickets, gift certificates, and class registrations.
