CONSTRUCTION VOLUNTEERS WANTED
Come join Middlesex Habitat for Humanity for a day of 
building on our  Summer Street, Portland job site. 
All are welcome, no special skills are needed! 
All we ask for is a smile and a willingness to help. 
We will send you home tired, dirty and happy!

 
Middlesex Habitat is a volunteer driven organization serving families and communities in Middlesex County. By working alongside our dedicated construction team, regular volunteers, and partner families, you will help us build the first ever Portland, CT Habitat house while having a great time learning construction skills. 

No previous construction skills are expected! Middlesex Habitat will provide skilled construction staff to train volunteers and supervise. All tools, safety equipment, and building materials needed for the day will be provided. 
General Information:
  • We build most Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays at sites in Middlesex County.
  • Our construction day is 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, unless otherwise advised.  
  • Please visit our website or Facebook/Twitter page for delays and cancellations.
  • Please dress weather appropriate.
  • Volunteers should bring a bag lunch. Lunch is 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM.
  • Construction volunteers must be 16 years of age to be present on an active build site. Youth volunteers ages 16 or 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult chaperon.
How to Register as a Volunteer:
  1. Click here to register.
  2. At the top of the page click on the tab labeled "NEW VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION"
  3. Please complete all boxes that are starred * red.
  4. When completed with the online registration, please print and sign the waiver and bring with you the first day of volunteering. 
How to Register for a Build Day:
  1. View our upcoming construction VOLUNTEER CALENDAR and reserve a spot.
  2. Sign up on the desired day.
  3. Review and bring a signed Release and Waiver Form with you the day of.
With you help on the construction site, 
we will make a Habitat home in Portland a reality!
HOUSE CAPTAINS NEEDED:

We are currently seeking individuals (18+) interested in learning leadership skills while building volunteer experience as a House Captain. House Captains work alongside Habitat staff to help manage daily work and volunteers. All are welcome - no special skills required. For more information, please contact Curtis Weybright.
