What's a Trashion Show?

In short, it is a fashion show in which the featured styles are created (at least in part) from used, thrown-out, found and re -purposed materials.

Calling All Designers, Artists and Gutsy Seamstresses with Great Trashion Sense!

It's time to think about Memphis City Beautiful's

The 2nd production of Memphis City Beautiful's hugely successful Trashion Show will take place Sunday October 7th in the Broad Avenue Arts District. This edgy, yet elegant, urban outdoor exhibition features the work of Memphis' top couturiers of trashion. It's also a party and silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Memphis City Beautiful Mini Grant Program that supports local neighborhood beautification and greening initiatives.

Show the world your skills at up-cycling: turn someone else's trash into an expression of great Trashion.  Repurpose, reuse and recycle items from the city's better curbside collection bins to create unique fashion sensations. Fill out your application today!

Submitted pieces will be juried by the Curb Couture Trashion Show event committee and if your design is chosen for the show, your name will appear on our list of featured designers.

Deadline to declare your participation: August 20, 2012

Final trashion submission due:  September 14, 2012
