Dear Calvary,

The first  Sunday of Advent marks the end of "normal" time and the beginning of our preparations for the celebration of the coming of Jesus.  This past year has seemed anything but normal on so many levels. The violence that has erupted around the world again and again, growing political strife at home and abroad, and uncertainty about the future at every turn. Now more than ever the Christian claim of "God With Us" must be shared and heard. Calvary is not alone in getting this message out, but we will do our best to share the good news of Bethlehem in word and deed.  So come and be apart of the joy of this wonderful season and Remember that our very best days are yet to come.

A lmighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

See you at Church!
