Please Join Us In Discovering The Past Of Camp Hale And Celebrating Its Future

On Saturday, January 21, the public will have a unique opportunity to learn about the past, present and future of Colorado's famed Camp Hale, the home and training ground for World War II's legendary 10th Mountain Division mountain troopers.

The event is presented by the Continental Divide Wilderness Coalition  and hosted by the  Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum , with support and Living History provided by the 10th Mountain Division Foundation.

From 10 am to 2 pm, guests will have the chance to experience living history at Camp Hale, courtesy of the 10th Mountain Division Foundation's Living History group.  Wear the gear and feel what it was like to be a 10th Mountain soldier, while also touring the Pando Valley where they trained.

From 5 pm to 7 pm, the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum will host a public reception in support of the effort to designate Camp Hale as a National Historic Landscape.  If successful, the designation would protect 28,000 acres in honor of the 10th Mountain Division.

If you plan to attend the reception, please RSVP to Susie Kincade at (970) 328-5472.
