Scout News: August 18      
Wildfire Burning: As many of you have heard, there is a wildfire burning in the Cajon Pass, Lytle Creek, and Wrightwood areas. This is 40 miles west of Camp Tahquitz. At this time, Camp Tahquitz is in no danger. Air quality is good. We plan on a great weekend of fun for Webelos up at camp. Click on the red button for a current video of Camp Tahquitz.

Competitive scholarships! Window is open now through October 31. Click for information. Last year, NESA awarded $640,000 to 140 Eagle Scouts. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $50,000. Apply today!  

TONIGHT 8/18 - 7pm. Come for a brief gathering to pick up activity flyers, camp-out information, posters, yard signs, recruitment supplies, mini mags, back to school Scouting information. We've put packets together for everyone, so please come! Held at Lakewood Village Community Church.  

Saturday, October 1 - Hands-on skill training in paddlecraft. Course covers swimming, personal safety, basic boating, and group safety. See requirements. Must be registered adult or youth 15+.  

Earn this award by demonstrating your skills and experience in the outdoors. Did you camp, hike, bike, or ride a horse this summer? See all requirements. There's a chance you've earned some badges here.

Uniform update: Scouts who are NYLT trained may now wear the NYLT patch (pictured) instead of the green "trained" strip. Show other Scouts that you are NYLT trained and capable of leadership opportunities.
