Under The Microscope Banner
October 2011

Greetings!

This month African women triumphed as Nobel Peace Prize winners, we lost an innovative technology icon and we learned who put the X (and Y) in sex chromosomes. In this newsletter, we look at women's spatial abilities in India and reflect on last month's Women in Science: Negotiating a Successful Academic Career forum. We also celebrate National Chemistry Week and ask that if you or any of the women or girls in your life have participated in this event, please share your story with us. Lastly, women in science are blogging all over the internet and we have the top blogs you should be reading (in addition to ours). Autumn is in the air and we have all the cool articles on women in science you won't want to miss.
