Can't You See?? 6/7/17
GOD SEE'S 6/7/17

Knowing I would be tied up all day in mediation over my oldest daughter's wrongful death law suit, my son Joshua offered to author today's sermon.

May I introduce my guest writer for today, Mr. Joshua Drucker!

My New Year (2017) began like most peoples.

I had high hopes of a smooth road to my goals and plans.

I had began a 21 day prayer with a local church as I sought God diligently.

Daily I felt His presence as I abide "d" in the Secret Place.

I just KNEW that something good was about to happen.

Within weeks my small world began to crumble.

Me and a dear friend severed ties after years of friendship.

Soon after, questions concerning my ministry began to form in my mind as Satan challenged my reasons to continue.

Then, the environment within these walls began to heat up as harassment came from both inmates and staff.

Tired and dejected as I sat in a lock down cell on Georgia's Death Row I asked the question:

"God, do you REALLY see what is going on in my life? With all of these people in the world, am I REALLY on your mind?"

As I said this prayer with the bible in my hand I turned the page and my eyes locked on the verse:

Luke 12:6-7_Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.

Soon after, I began to read my daily scriptures in Psalms. It wasn't long before I ran across the scriptures,

Psalms 33:18_Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy.

Psalms 34:15_The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.

After reading these verses, peace began to flood my soul. It was as if God KNEW that I would be sitting on a prison floor before the foundations of the world as He spoke these verses into existence.

My problems didn't get any better. In fact, they got worse.

My environment stayed the same. But "I" felt different. GOD SAW.

He was focused on "little ole me". He saw my pain.

He saw the challenges and harassment that circled my life.

He saw the temptations that I faced.

He saw the times that I responded correctly, and the times I got into the flesh and failed.

My Daddy saw it all.

A few nights later I was reading Jeremiah 18.

That chapter explains how God is the Potter and we are the clay. God told Jeremiah to go down to Potters house and watch a Potter mold the clay.

Jeremiah 18:4-6_And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.

Then the Word of the Lord came to me, saying:

"Oh house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the Lord. "Look, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, oh house of Israel!"

The potter NEVER takes his eyes off of his work. We are the clay and God is the Potter.

As we are spinning on the wheel of life. Spinning through heartbreak.

Spinning through debt. Spinning through a world of hate.

Spinning through broken dreams and delayed promises.

Spinning through bad choices and guilt. Spinning, spinning, spinning... God never takes His eye off of you.

I needed to hear this word the other night. At times the pain gets so bad and I feel all alone. But I wasn't, God is with me.

In Ephesians 3:17 it says, "that Christ may dwell in your hearts THROUGH FAITH."

Not feelings, not goose bumps and pimples, not a booming voice or open heaven.

Christ dwells in you through faith. You just got to KNOW that He is there and sees everything, even when you don't feel Him there.

We are all going "through" something.

Every email that I receive, every inmate or officer that I interact with, every family member that comes to visit.

They all have one thing in common, we ALL are going through something.

King David said, "yea, as I walk THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for You are with me."

God sees you dearly beloved.

He sees your pain. He sees your tears. He sees the way that you are mistreated.

He sees your desire to do better.

He sees the times when you loved and forgave, as they continued to taunt you, slander you, and gossip behind your back.

He also sees your struggles and the temptations that you face.

He sees your faults, and the choices that you made through fear and unbelief. He even sees all of your secrets.

HE SEES YOU.

This word may not mean much to you.

You may be in a season of ease as you scan these words.

But for those of us that are GOING THROUGH IT, it is comforting to know that God is watching it all.

This is a word that you need to rest in.

Since God sees it all, then He knows what He is doing.

He knows how much you can take. He knows what you need.

The right relationships will spring up at the right time.

He knows when to open a door, and He closes the ones that are not fruitful. Rest in this fact,

YOU ARE NOT ALONE. GOD IS WATCHING YOU.

YOU ARE MORE PRECIOUS THAN A SPARROW.

HE HAS NUMBERED EVERY HAIR ON YOUR HEAD.

DO NOT FEAR ANYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE.

GOD SEES.
