As many of you are aware, I have been fighting a rare cancer over the last year. I have Colangiocarcinoma, which is a cancer of the bile ducts in the liver. The 5 year survival rate for this cancer without surgery is about 5% and I am unable to have surgery because it is too far out into my lymph nodes. Those suffering from colangiocarcinoma who cannot have surgery and are treated with just chemotherapy and radiation like me face an expected life span of 11 months from diagnosis. I was diagnosed 15 months ago. I responded much better than expected to chemotherapy and radiation. My tumor appears to be less aggressive than this cancer usually is and the disease has retreated somewhat from my lymph nodes. Unfortunately, I now have another tumor growing a little farther into my liver. I am hoping it will respond just as well to treatment. I'm aiming to be in that 5% group! With my disease progressing, however, I do need to think about what to do with the studio.

Thanks to the hard work of Christopher and Sandy, the studio remains open for business while I deal with my health and I have no immediate plans to change that. My vision has always been that this is a place for like minded people to gather, learn, and support each other in the creative process. Given where my health is, I need to start thinking about what happens to Fusions from a business perspective. I would like to speak with any of you - the people for whom this business exists - that might be interested in purchasing the studio and possibly the space we operate out of as well. We have such a nice community of kiln glass people that I would love to see the studio continue long after I'm gone.

The sale price of the studio is the value of its assets and inventory only. This value changes as we do physical inventory counts, sell product, and purchase additional inventory to continue to operate, but the value of assets + inventory (using the distributor value of inventory, not the retail value) is approximately $150,000. There is much value in the established customer base and excellent nationwide reputation that we've built over the last 12 years which I have not included in the sales price. If you have any interest at all, please email me at fusionsidaho@gmail.com or call me at 208-794-3552.

Sincerely,
Linda Crouch
