Lunar Communion

Astronaut Dr. Jan Davis
Sunday, July 24

Canterbury will celebrate a very special "Lunar Communion" during worship on Sunday, July 24th, in the Sanctuary. Retired astronaut, Dr. Jan Davis, from NASA will be joining us to commemorate a private, yet historic moment on July 20, 1969, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin offered a prayer and shared communion shortly after landing on the surface of the moon. Dr. Davis will tell us more about the event as well as her experiences viewing our planet from the vantage point of outer space.

College Ministries

At Canterbury we strive to provide a "church home" for college students in our area, as well as continue to nurture our own students that have grown up here and are away at school.  The easiest way to communicate with students is through email and cell phones so that no matter where they are, they can feel their "church home" reaching out to them.  We want to keep in touch and reach out to them during this important time in their lives.  If you have a child going away to college or know of a young person who is coming to a college in our area, please contact Brian Ward at [email protected] or 972-213-6951.
