The Canterbury-Beeson Forum on Aging is set for Saturday, August 12th from 7:15 AM-3:30 PM.
Whether you are a professional caregiver or simply a family member caring for an aging loved-one, this year's outstanding speakers can help you make the right decisions when you need to. Avondale Elementary School Supplies | Donate Before July 31st:
Donate your contribution of $50 before July 31. It will furnish much-needed school supplies to an entire classroom at Avondale Elementary School this fall.

Family Promise Volunteers Needed | August 6-12th:

STAIR Volunteers Needed at Avondale | Monday or Wednesday afternoons 3:15-4:45 PM:
You can make a difference by tutoring a second grader in reading at Avondale UMC. STAIR volunteers commit to tutoring on Monday or Wednesday afternoons from 3:15 to 4:45 PM, working with the same student all school year long. To learn more or sign up, visit

Connect: A Ministry for Newlywed Couples | August 22nd, 6:30-8:30 PM:
Join us for dinner and discussion for ten Tuesday nights beginning August 22nd, 6:30 - 8:30 PM.
This couples study is facilitated by Patti and Doug Williams, Laurie and Will Hereford, and Elizabeth and Zac Riddle. We meet in the leaders' homes and share a delicious meal followed by discussion of tools to make communication in marriage more effective.
