What is your name?  Gwen Dadoly

What's your current job?  Wealth Management Advisor for TIAA

What do you love most about it? I love learning what it takes to advise clients based on an in-depth understanding of their financial needs, wants, hopes and dreams. I diagnose and celebrate individuality. I love the fact that I can truly make a difference in my clients’ lives by simplifying their financial lives and help them identify and achieve their visions of their financial future.

How long have you been a member of Cape Space and what do you like most about it thus far?  I have been a member of Cape Space since August of 2016.  What I like most about CapeSpace is the team of Robbin, Anna, Jeffrey & Katelyn!

When not working, what do you like to do?  I love to run, bike, ski, play tennis and golf.  I also love spending time being a cheerleader at all of our daughters’ sporting events. 

Guilty Pleasure: What can you not live without? Summer wouldn’t be complete without an ice cream cone (or two) of Ben & Jerry’s Phish food ice cream. 

Favorite Movie? Titanic.  People on a sinking ship are presented with an ultimate test to determine what they are really made of-- 

Favorite Book? Moby Dick.  Perhaps growing up in New Bedford has given me a great appreciation of Yankee Whaling and this book for me stands as a historical reference to that era.

Favorite TV Show? Jim Cramer’s Mad Money. Boo-yah!

What is one thing that you would like people to know about you? I always focus on getting better, rather than being good at something. I have found that embracing the fact that I can change has allowed me to make better choices and reach my fullest potential.  It’s also helped me take difficulty in stride and appreciate the journey just as much as the destination.

CCYP Coffee Connect

On February 16, CapeSpace was delighted to host the February Coffee Connect event for the Cape Cod Young Professionals.  We all enjoyed a great breakfast and learned a lot about each of the attendees in a fun, informal discussion.

Train Your Employees for Free
On February 23, Workforce Investment Board Executive Director David Augustinho educated us on the Workforce Training Fund – Free money from the state that all Massachusetts employers can apply for and use to train their employees.  David explained the different programs through which these funds can be made available and encouraged interested employers to contact him for more information and for assistance with the application process. The presentation was preceded by a little networking and refreshments.
