Federal Advocacy
Ask Your Representatives to Cosponsor HR 2871: The Preserving Patient Access to Compounded Medications Act! It will only take a few minutes with IACP's easy-to-use Voter Voice action alert platform. Send a direct communication to your Representative. This important bill will help protect access to compounded medications on which your patients rely. It will help clarify the Drug Quality & Security Act (DQSA) in a way that will better align the statute with congressional intent and better balance public safety and patient access. Act, Today!
DQSA Coalition sends letter to U.S. Health & Human Services Secretary Tom Price, MD, expressing continuing serious concerns with the FDA's implementation of the Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA). The Coalition seeks Secretary Price's assistance in both ensuring patients have continued access to vital therapeutic options provided by compounded medications, and that FDA implements the DQSA in the manner intended by Congress. The Coalition has requested a formal meeting with Secretary Price to further discuss these issues.
IACP's Congressional Recess Packet will provide you with the tools you need to host a successful congressional district visit as the 115th U.S. Congress goes on summer recess, July 31 - September 4, 2017. Stay tuned for an IACP email next week providing you with everything you need to plan a successful congressional visit!
