GADOE Budget

State Superintendent Richard Woods opened GADOE'S budget briefing by describing the process the department undertook to gather stakeholder feedback about Georgia's Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan. He spent significant time explaining the department's work with regard to Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) pathways. The House Rural Development Council recently recommended (education recommendations on p. 7) moving CTAE pathways to the Technical College System of Georgia, which explains Woods' focus on GADOE'S work.  He turned over the detailed budget presentation to GADOE CFO Ted Beck.
