Capitol Update
Representative Jeni Arndt- HD 53
Assistant Caucus Chair; Chair of Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources Committee;
Member of Business Affairs and Labor Committee
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
While our new administration's policies are of grave concern and keep me up at night, there is a lot of good work happening here in Denver on Capitol Hill. I have had eleven bills make it through committee with strong bipartisan support, losing only one vote across all eleven. Of those bills, four have passed the third reading vote and are onto the next chamber. These bills might not be headliners, but they are all common sense legislation that will make Colorado a better place.

This past week, my office welcomed our new intern Lauren. She is a CSU student who works at the Capitol through Dr. John Straayer's excellent internship program. Lauren is a political science major and hopes to go to law school after graduating. On Thursday, Lauren embraced her role in helping the Sportsmen's caucus with Hot Dog Day!

One bill I am especially proud to have the chance to run is HB17-1032. This bill passed out of the Judiciary Committee on a unanimous 11-0 vote. It  allows first responders to provide peer support to a group instead of individually, which is extremely helpful because these units usually act as a team. Thank you Jack Digliani!

 You are all invited to join me, Rep. Joann Ginal, and Senator John Kefalas on February 11th from 10am-11:30am at Council Tree Library for our first Town Hall of the session. We will be taking general questions from our constituents. Please join us if you are able!

As always, feel free to call me anytime at 970-231-5090 or email me at jeniarndt53@gmail.com.
