Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Come celebrate Earth Day at Civic Center Park!
Happy Earth Day! April 22nd was declared Earth Day in 1970 as a way to raise public awareness of air and water pollution. This weekend, I'll be celebrating at Civic Center Park with the Sustainable Living Association, who is hosting a free  Earth Day event from 11am-5pm. I'll be speaking around 2pm about the importance of taking care of our planet and the impacts of climate change on our water supplies. I'll also be talking about my Measurable Climate Goals bill. This bill puts measurable goals in the state's Climate Action Plan.
Rep. Wilson and I working hard to get our CPW bill passed.
I am thrilled my Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) bill passed through the agriculture committee, the finance committee, and is headed to the House floor for a vote. Since 2005, the price of fishing and hunting licenses  have not been increased, leaving the care of our natural resources and parks underfunded. HB17-1321  creates financial sustainability and flexibility. Thanks to all the sportsmen, outfitters, and environmental groups who have come together to maintain our outdoors and keep Colorado beautiful.
My final water bill of the year will be introduced Monday. This bill marries land use and water planning by requiring counties to consider water conservation in their master plans.

Come to my next Community Issues Forum this Saturday.
You are all invited to join me, Rep. Joann Ginal, and Sen. John Kefalas for a Community Issues Forum at Old Town Library on Saturday, April 22nd from 10am-11:30am. We will be talking about the future of health care in Colorado. Please join us!

As always, feel free to call me anytime at 970-231-5090 or email me at jeniarndt53@gmail.com.
