Capitol Update
Representative Jeni Arndt- HD 53
Assistant Caucus Chair; Chair of Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources Committee;
Member of Business Affairs and Labor Committee
Dear Friends and Neighbors,

(Another bill signing!)
On Thursday, I had three more bills signed into law. SB17-056 came from the Statutory Revision Committee, SB17-050 improves forest health, and HB17-1032 provides peer support to first responders as a group instead of individually.

(First generation college students came to visit the Capitol.)
On Wednesday, I had some special guests on the floor who were all Poudre High School graduates! Kenzie and Kayla are both First Class Scholars and are going to be first generation college students. They are both bright women and I am sure they will thrive in school. I am expecting great things!
(Meeting with Colorado Reproductive Freedom about HB17-1186)
On Thursday, a group of awesome women came by my office from the Colorado Reproductive Freedom Coalition to talk about HB17-1186. This bill allows women to receive a year's worth of birth control at once instead of having to return to pharmacy each month for a refill. Reproductive justice benefits everyone, so  I will be an enthusiastic YES vote on this bill.
You are all invited to join me, Rep. Joann Ginal, and Sen. John Kefalas for a Community Issues Forum at Old Town Library on Saturday, March 25th from 9am-10:30am. We will be talking about the implementation of the Colorado Water Plan and current legislation on water. Please join us!

As always, feel free to call me anytime at 970-231-5090 or email me at
