Capitol Update
Representative Jeni Arndt- HD 53
Dear Neighbor,

The countdown is on and there are fourteen working days left in this session.  At this time of the session, the floor work gets longer as we move through all the bills before us.

On Tuesday I had two bills pass the house and sent to the Senate. These are HB16-1313 - Concerning land and water planning and HB16-1273 - concerning the administration of our Harmony parking lot. Ironically, the water bill had more agreement than the parking lot bill! Who knew a parking lot bill could be so challenging?

On Tuesday my bill HB 16-1228 the Ag Water Protection bill passed out of the Senate Agriculture committee on a 9-0 vote. The bill has been place on their consent calendar.

Today a bill responding to the confusion of this year's caucuses will be introduced in the House. If passed, this would reinstate a presidential primary system in Colorado.

This week I had the opportunity to meet with the Classified Personnel Council of Colorado State University. This provided an opportunity to listen to their concerns and explore avenues of redress.
