Teacher Retirement System -
HB 633

Would allow TRS beneficiaries to continue to receive retirement while employed but would not require the employee or employer to pay into the system on the new salary. The employee would not add to their creditable service time.
Georgia Endowment for Teaching Professionals -

Would create a public-private partnership to support outstanding teachers in high demand courses, subjects, and disciplines to improve education and provide for economic development.
State Tax Deductions -
HB 664

Increases the state tax deduction for contributions to a 529 savings trust account. The deduction cap is doubling: from $2,000 to $4,000 per beneficiary for those filing a single return and from $4,000 to $8,000 for a joint return.
Instant Replay -

Would require athletic associations to provide instant replay for high school football playoff and championship games for a school district to participate in the association events.
