will follow this meeting!
   
It's that time again for this session's  Captain/Co-Captain Meeting  which is  OPEN  to any  Birmingham APA  player. If you are NOT a Captain or Co-Captain, you may  still  attend this meeting.  This meeting will be from  10:00 - 11:00 am  to discuss any upcoming changes in our league and to answer any questions!

SESSION MEETING AGENDA:   We will discuss some LTC eligibility changes, future LTC locations, and the schedule and registration for our Super 30 Divisions.

Following this meeting will be our annual Captain/Co-Captain Challenge! You MUST attend the Captains Meeting, at 10:00 am, to be able to play in this following tourney. Our CC Challenge  is  not  a Scotch Doubles tourney. This is a super fun SINGLES tournament and players will be matched up by their 8-Ball skill level (2s play 2s, 3s play 3s, etc.). However, we will be using our "Be-A-3" format as explained in the below Rules & Guidelines.

This tournament is held each Summer Session in recognition and appreciation for all our Birmingham APA Team Captains and Co-Captains! Over $1,000.00 in cash and prizes will be awarded and given away and you have nothing to lose because there is NO ENTRY FEE!

ELIGIBILITY  REQUIREMENTS
  • Players must attend the Captain/Co-Captain Meeting which is held before the tournament.
  • Players MUST have at least 5 lifetime matches in either of our APA 8-Ball or 9-Ball formats.
  • For a guaranteed spot, you must be listed as a current Team Captain / Co-Captain, as of week 8 in this session. 
  • Players MUST be in good standings with ALL team fees & dues paid up to date.
RULES & GUIDELINES
  • FREE ENTRY FEE with a limit of 32 entries per skill level bracket.
  • ONLY MEETING ATTENDEES will be allowed to participate in this tourney. If you miss the meeting, you will  not be eligible to play even if you have already registered.
  • All participants have the option to pay $10.00 to enter a Bonus Cash Pot which will be rewarded to the top finishers of each skill level bracket.
  • Birmingham APA will contribute up to $600.00 CASH in prize monies to be awarded to bracket winners.
  • Any open spots will first be filled by unregistered Captains and Co-Captains who attend the meeting. Any spots remaining afterwards will be filled by other attendees who are not Captains or Co-Captains.
  • This is a Singles tournament matched up by skill levels but s ome brackets may be combined due to the number of entries.  
  • Modified-Single Bracket - guaranteed to play twice.
  • Double Jeopardy "Be-A-3" format - everyone plays as a 3 skill level.
  • First round, and rounds on the Winner's side of the bracket, will play a race to 2 in 8-Ball. Rounds on the Loser's side will play a race to 25 in 9-Ball.
  • Sharking is allowed and encouraged so bring your best smack talking. Just don't get vulgar or too personal.
  • There will be NO smack talking or sharking in the final money rounds. (Don't want anyone getting all pissy...)
  • Number of prizes and places paid will be determined by the amount of entries.

If you are unable to attend this meeting, or ineligible to play in the following tournament, we hope you will be able to do so in the future. If you know another Captain, or Co-Captain, who doesn't have email, please make them aware of this upcoming event and have them call our office to register.
