Car Jacking Incident Saturday

Chicago Police are looking for armed robbery suspects who carjacked at least two people, hit a pedestrian in Lincoln Park and led police on a chase through several city neighborhoods ending near Humboldt Park Saturday morning. Police have recovered two of the hijacked cars and are seeking a third, a green 2000 Honda Accord with damaged Wisconsin plates, 218SPG.

According to Superintendent Johnson, there are some "good leads" on the suspects, who are "possibly juveniles." The Chicago Tribune filed this report. Other coverage is on WGN.

This incident occurred Saturday morning, when unknown offenders driving an stolen car robbed an individual at gunpoint in the 1400 block of N. Dayton. They they drove to the 1300 block of West Waveland in the Lake View neighborhood, police said, and stole a white VW SUV. Police pursued the car, and the offenders raced down Halsted Street and hit a 23 year old man at the corner of Halsted and Fullerton. After the crash, the vehicle struck multiple parked vehicles before the suspects abandoned it in the 2600 block of West North Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The vehicle was later recovered by police. It is believed that the offenders then stole the green Honda Accord.
