Greetings from Mr. Gault

On Saturday, 14 October, La Salle Military Academy Alumni Association sponsored the second annual Car Show.  In spite of a rainy morning, it was a great success!  All in attendance were amazed by the array and quality of the various vehicles present.  They ranged from a 1939 Woody to a 2017 LaFerrari.  The admission was free and staff and alumni of The De La Salle School sold food and refreshments to benefit the Graduate Support Program. The event was a perfect way for our alumni to meet La Salle Military Academy alumni, while raising awareness of the mission and needs of The De La Salle School. Thank you to all who participate with a special thank you to our LSMA friends.  We look forward to hosting the car show again next year.
On Saturday, 28 October eighth grade students throughout the diocese sat for the Catholic High School Entrance Exam (CHSEE).  Students from The De La Salle School also participated and eagerly wait for January to see what schools they have been accepted to.  Please continue to pray for our young men that they are able to continue their Catholic Education in one of our local Catholic High Schools.  I am confident that they will be as successful as the class of 2017, all of whom were accepted and are now attending the Catholic High School of their choice. Our ministry to these young men does not end with their graduation from The De La Salle school.  Our Graduate Support Program will provide them the opportunity for college visits, mentoring, tutoring, socialization and some financial assistance.

Please join us for our annual Fall Luncheon.  It will be held at the beautiful Westbury Manor, Westbury, New York, on Tuesday, 14 November, beginning at 11 am, and our featured speaker will be Bernadette Castro, former New York State Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (and YES she is the little girl opening the Castro Convertible!).  A fantastic menu, including cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and a sit-down three course luncheon will be offered at our festive event.  We will also feature special vendors, including Peter Duffy Furs, and beautiful basket raffles.
Please click here to register using our secure online registration.  If you would like to participate in our cash raffle (winner need not be present to win!), please contact our Director of Development, Mrs. Jeanne Mulry at 516-379-0012.  We look forward to welcoming you at this important event in support of the students at The De La Salle School.
