Celebrate Día de los Muertos with DFS at Springs Preserve
Celebrating a centuries-old tradition rooted in Latin American cultures, the Springs Preserve will present its colorful ninth annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) event. Tickets are limited and registration is required.

About Día de los Muertos
This 3,000-year-old Hispanic celebration honoring loved ones is full of joy and tradition. This family-friendly event blends rich customs with exciting activities such as live theater and dance performances, altars, mariachis, face painting, sugar skull decorating and an art exhibition.

Upcoming Webinar: What is the Nevada's Safety Intervention Model?
Nevada began implementing SAFE eight years ago. Short for Safety Assessment Family
Evaluation, SAFE is the practice model in Washoe County and in the rural counties. Clark
County adopted a version of the Safety Intervention model, coined Safety Intervention

What is Normalcy?
Normalcy is the right of all youth in licensed out-of-home care to have the opportunity for normal growth and development and to be offered the chance to participate in age-appropriate activities, responsibilities and life skills.

"How I Spent My Summer Vacation..."
It was a busy summer at Child Haven, thanks to a pair of motivated volunteer groups. A crew of baristas from Starbucks and a group known as "The Yarn Stormers" each descended upon the Child Haven campus to add some warmth and happiness to the intake facility.

The Fostering Relationship Model
After eight years and thousands of families, the Visitation Center is transitioning to a new model for family visits. The concept of visitation, maintaining relationships, and reunifications is constantly evolving. Our new model "Fostering Relationships" is the result of years of research focusing on children, families and reunification.
