Limited delivery schedule
We are running an extremely limited delivery schedule this week. Let me start with the excuses. Our Home Delivery driver Bo, is on vacation this week. Over 4 days he makes all of our home deliveries and delivers to the drop-off locations. Hopefully some day soon we will have a couple of delivery drivers that can share the load during vacations, but as of right now we must cancel for a vacation week.

On top of that, my daughter Jersey(8) is at Winshape Summer Camp at Berry College until Friday. I will not be able to run my Mobile Market Route on Friday because that is the day we get to pick her up, after being there for two weeks. She and her camp-mates will be performing a program for parents Friday morning. We miss that sweet girl and I intend to be there to hear all about her camp experience.

Its probably easier to state the locations that we are running. This week the Wednesday and Thursday Mobile Market Routes will be the only Atlanta deliveries.

On the Farm

Turkey Time:
(repeat from last week since so many were traveling)
I know it doesn't seem possible, but it is time to be raising turkeys for Thanksgiving. Actually our turkeys are one month old and just got moved out of the brooder and onto pasture last week. Turkeys are a little harder to raise than chickens as babies...actually they are a lot harder. However, as they mature they become more hardy and grow out very well on pasture. The roost you see in the background is our own design. Its lightweight and portable nature makes it great for raising these birds on pasture, as we move them around the pasture regularly. It gives the turkeys a place to roost up off of the ground, which is their instinctual behavior. If you have followed my emails or blog for a while you know my affinity for raising turkeys. I feel like the farm is more full of personality when the turkeys are here. It's really nice to have them back on our pastures.  We should be able to start taking pre-orders on thanksgiving turkeys next week.
