  • As spring approaches, the hens are starting to lay more eggs. I have posted more online that in previous weeks. Even more bountiful harvest will continue throughout the spring season.
  • A good supply of beef is listed online along with all of the other types of meat.
  • We will be processing chickens soon. I will let everyone know as soon as I'm able to post those online.
  • If you think you will be wanting a turkey in the next few months please order it now. We need to clear that freezer space for the upcoming chicken. 

Weston Price Formula Kit: Julie and I thought we were gonna need to make the Weston Price formula for our youngest, but as it worked out she was able to keep up with the nursing demand until her first birthday. So, we have a Nourishing Traditions Formula Kit that we ordered from Radiant Life that we would like to sell. This is the 3 month kit that was $294.95. If someone needs it, we would be willing to sell for $200. Reply to this email if you are interested.

On the Farm
Our  Westward Adventure:
As I mentioned last week, Julie and I took a long weekend to snowmobile in and around Yellowstone National Park in West Yellowstone Montana. In short, It was fabulous. We took a guided trip into the park on the first day, where we saw Bison, Bald Eagles, Elk, Coyotes, Wolves, Old Faithful, and several of the parks thermal geological features. On the second day we woke to -3 degree temperatures. Needless to say we didn't run right out to jump on the snowmobile. We got a cup of hot coffee and rode around the town taking pictures of the old vintage hotel signs (Julies idea, but I think they will make a cool collage). We finally decided to start our ride into the national forest land adjacent to the park at around 9:30am. By then it had warmed up to a balmy 12 degrees. To ride the forest land we didn't need a guide or a group, we were able to ride buy ourselves after a brief map orientation. The forest land was much less crowded, and the natural beauty was unbelievable. It seemed more rugged and desolate with smaller trails. We had lunch at a lodge restaurant that is accessible by snowmobile only, and later that afternoon made our way back to town.  We turned in our rented snowmobile and rented gear before walking the downtown strip for a nice dinner and some souvenir shopping (gotta get something nice for the babysitting grandparents ya know). I would classify this trip under the "bucket list" category. Snowmobiling through Yellowstone is something we have wanted to do for years. Viewing the majesty of Big Sky country didn't disappoint. We saw everything we wanted to see, and feel like we got our moneys worth of the snowmobile experience. However, the trips most important takeaway for me was how Julie and I were able to reconnect. We have a great marriage, but even the best marriages need some adventure and some nurturing to stay great.  I'm no Dr. Phil, but that's my opinion.
