Summer School Registration is Now Open!

Whether you are looking for academic, enrichment or sports programs this summer, Carondelet has it all!

For the third consecutive year, Carondelet High School will welcome middle school students to campus for its co-ed summer school programs designed to keep youth engaged and active during the summer months.

The middle school program for rising 6th-, 7th- and 8th-graders includes courses in language arts, math, speech and debate, and - new this year - sports broadcasting.

Middle school girls can enroll in one of seven advanced sports clinics, which are designed for students who are looking to improve their skills and prepare themselves to compete at the high school level. Soccer, lacrosse, swimming, and tennis clinics will be hosted at the brand new Carondelet Athletics Complex in Walnut Creek, slated to open in early 2018. Basketball, dance and volleyball clinics will be offered at the school's Winton Drive campus.

New to the academic program is Carondelet's partnership with iD Tech, which will host a co-ed camp for students ages 7-17. The courses will feature principles of coding, robotics, game development and more.

For high school students, Carondelet is offering both advancement and remediation courses, which are open to girls and boys from any school. Advancement options include Algebra 2/Trig, Geometry, Biology, World Art and Lifetime Activities. These courses will help students get a head start on earning credit toward graduation and college, as well as free up time in their 2018-19 schedule.

Students Win Awards at Harvard Model Congress

On January 12-15, Carondelet students became delegates to the Harvard Model Congress held in San Francisco. The event simulates the workings of the United States federal government where students act as members of Congress, argue cases in the Supreme Court, and become specialists in federal agencies such as the FBI, CIA, and NSC.

Carondelet students Rin Oisaghie '18 and Annie Raines '18 participated in the Supreme Court simulation during Harvard Model Congress. This specialized committee requires the participation of the only most experienced and advanced delegates. Both Rin and Annie earned the highest award of Best Delegate for their 4-day performance, arguing various court cases and being cross-examined by other Court delegates.

"Harvard Model Congress was one of the best experiences of my high school career," Rin said. "Over the course of the weekend I improved my public speaking skills and gained confidence, all while making new friends and exploring the city."

Financial Aid Applications Due Feb. 9

Through the generosity of our benefactors and the success of our annual fundraisers, Carondelet has been able to provide tuition assistance to many young women who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend Carondelet. This school year, Carondelet is providing almost 25% of the student body with tuition assistance, which amounts to approximately $1,280,000.

Tuition assistance is awarded to families who demonstrate financial need. Many families who send their daughters to Carondelet High School make financial sacrifices. The Tuition Assistance Program is designed to help those families that, even with their sacrifices, need help in meeting their financial obligations. Applications for aid for the 2018-19 school year are due by Friday, Feb. 9.

For more information and to apply, please visit our Tuition & Aid web page
