Vendor of the Week:

The Chairman

Located in Cameron, North Carolina, Bill Daigle makes handcrafted Adirondack furniture out of his small woodworking shop.  When he was younger, Bill lived and worked with the late Dan Graham (a longtime market member and founder of Graham Family Farm) where he learned a great deal about woodworking. When they considered going into business together, Mr. Graham instead provided Bill with a plan for a chair so that Bill could pursue his own direction. Bill has done it as "The Chairman."

Fun Facts:

For his furniture, he uses primarily Western Red Cedar. Occasionally he still gets Eastern Red Cedar from the Graham's mill, continuing their connection.

Bill is a diehard NASCAR fan. He even constructed a viewing platform for the bed of his truck for his family to enjoy on race day.

Lots of cheeses to sample and buy for Memorial Day picnics or cook outs. We have Burrata and our  Fresh Mozzarella in half pound balls. Burrata is a creamy filling encased in a pouch of our golden and tender mozzarella with a knot to seal it together. Set this out to warm to room temperature and serve with crusty bread as an appetizer for one or two people. Use Fresh Mozzarella for Caprese salad, pizza, or melted on toast over sautéed vegetables or mushrooms.

Make a great cheese board with our other cheeses, including 7 1/2 month old  Calvander which is similar to an Asiago, ripe  Carolina Moon, semi-ripe New Moon, Smoked MozzarellaSmoked Farmers, and  Dairyland Farmers. Add our  Pheta to green or pasta salads.

Our  Hickory Grove is mild but savory, and a great melting cheese. It's perfect for a cheeseburger with our flavorful ground beef.

All our pork comes from whey fed pigs which add tenderness to the meat. Our sausages include  Breakfast Country Sausage in bulk,  Sage and Maple Breakfast in links,  Hot Italian, Polish, Chorizo, and Bratwurst. We include the hams in them for extra flavor and choose the spices for each variety. We'll also have   bacon bits, ground pork, and our popular  Spare Ribs.

Everything we sell comes from our farm where we tend to the pastures, the young calves, the adult cows, and the whey fed pigs. Have a great weekend.
