As you can see from this weekly newsletter, there is a TON going on here at Sabercat Nation. Testing, plays, science events, prom/after prom, galas, upcoming graduation not to mention all our fantastic spring sporting events. It's an exciting time, come out and support it. Enjoy!

CV SPRING TESTING WEEK
Spring Testing Week begins NEXT TUESDAY - April 10th, 11th and 12th. CLICK HERE for the full schedule, excusal form directions and more.

Saturday, April 7th from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at Park Meadows Mall

While shopping at Kendra Scott, you can also stop by Berry Blendz (Park Meadows Mall Food Court) and treat yourself to a smoothie.

FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT 
Thursday, April 19th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm @ CVHS 
K through 8th grade students (and parents) can explore science together.  This is the 3rd year for this event and it always gets rave reviews. Please share with your family and friends. 
PROM
Saturday, April 21st from 8:00 to 11:00 pm @  Mile High Station, Denver 
Tickets will be sold online (link from the CVHS webpage) starting Monday, April 9th.   
More details to come.
AFTER PROM
Saturday, April 21st from 11 pm to April 22nd at 2:00 am @  Family Sports Center
Students are required to have a waiver signed by their parent and returned to the school before they can pick up their ticket. (Waivers are available in the main office.) 

AFTER PROM NEEDS YOUR HELP
This event will only be successful with the combined effort of many volunteers like you. Please consider helping with After Prom. It is a FUN evening be involved with. 
CASTLE VIEW BANDS PRESENTS: 
MASQUERADE GALA 
Friday, April 27th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm (dinner served at 6:00) @ CV Commons 
Catered dinner with in seat service, provided by our band students. Live big band dancing (swing and salsa).  Silent auction and a "work crew auction" (an opportunity to get help with your spring projects...Saturdays in May).   DETAILS, FLYER & TICKETS

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY NOMINATIONS 
10th and 11th grade students with qualifying GPA's have been nominated to apply for the National Honor Society. Information and applications were sent to the student's school email address. Applications are due by 3:00 pm on April 13th.

SENIORS: IMPORTANT  
SENIOR SUNSET - PHOTOS NEEDED
PLEASE contribute to the Senior Sunset Slideshow by g athering any pictures you have of your senior: childhood photos, participating in CV events/activities, day to day fun, and/or with friends.  Deadline for photos is May 2nd and can be emailed to  fisheraa1@s.dcsdk12.org.

CLASS OF 2018 - GIVES BACK
The senior class wants to get a mural painted by the wonderful Israel Milstead who has created phenomenal works of art at other high schools; they want a piece of it at home. See example sketch HERE.
They are asking that all seniors donate $20 towards the senior gift this year. (Seniors/Parents of Seniors that donate $20 or more will be put in a raffle to win 2 FREE Taylor Swift concert tickets.) You  can donate at the bookkeepers window or by credit card at this  LINK.

FREE OFFICIAL SAT PRACTICE OPPORTUNITIES
**Khan Academy offers FREE online practice. Students who spent 20 hours preparing on it saw an average gain of 115 points from the PSAT/NMSQT to the SAT. CLICK HERE for more details.
