The Pilgrim

Being Mortal
by Karan Raja

It does not matter
what one's motives and intentions -
and even limitations - are.
Like the sailors in the wild seas
finding their home,
in this world and one's life
what matters is:
How does one redeem oneself...

The Pilgrim Journal is written by our homeless friends of the Black Seed Writers Group. June 4th is Pentecost Day! Come and help us celebrate the birthday of the Church. Don't forget to wear red.

The Cathedral will host two significant diocesan services in June: Ordinations to the Diaconate on June 3 and a service of diocesan-wide Confirmations and Receptions  on June 17. We need Greeters to assist with both of these services (each at 10:30 a.m.). Please contact the Cathedral office if you can help out.

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a lay education program sponsored by the School of Theology in Sewanee that provides the opportunity for scriptural and theological exploration and discernment of how God is at work in the world and in us, in small groups with a trained mentor. Participants commit for 0ne year at a time for a four-year program.
