Downtown Lafayette's newest mural was recently completed by a group of area students from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation's Mural Apprentice class. Led by local artist Bekki Canine, nine students worked on the mural during the fall as part of the  After School Arts Program.

Approximately 85 feet in length, the mural features three vignettes of nature scenes designed and painted by the class. "It's wonderful to see our community support the artistic development of local students. As part of TAF's mural program, this new piece of public art brightens a pedestrian thoroughfare and serves as a reminder that we live in a city that embraces the arts," said  Ann Fields Monical, TAF's Chief Operating Officer.

Join the Tippecanoe Arts Federation and Mayor Tony Roswarski for the mural dedication on Wednesday, December 6, at 4:30 p.m.
