Celebrate Henry Ford's 150th Birthday
On July 30th, 2013 at the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA

Henry Ford
(July 15, 2013)- Hershey, PA. July 30th marks the 150th birthday of the man behind the machine. Henry Ford was a talented innovator and industrialist. He of course is more famously known as being the founder of the Ford Motor Company and manufacturing some of the most iconic vehicles of all time. As a teenager he was mesmerized by machines, especially the ones he found on his family farm. With the support of his parents, he went on to work with watches and steam engines to pursue his passion to learn about how they worked, and find ways to make them better. In 1896, he test drove his first propelled vehicle, the Quadricycle. And as they say, "the rest is history!" But we cannot sum up all of Ford's accomplishments in just one sentence which is why the Museum is devoting an entire day to him and we want you to join us! We invite guests of all ages to come and experience our collection and learn more about one of the greatest men in automobile history.

At the AACA Museum we take pride in the extensive collection of Ford's we have acquired over the past ten years. From Model T's to Mustangs, we will take you on a tour through the life of Henry Ford and the legacy he has left behind. The Museum is home to the only official replica of the Ford Quadricycle, built by Burnard Jarstfer. We also showcase Larry Porter's extremely rare "Alphabet Collection" complete with all of the letter models made from the time of the Quadricycle to the time of the Model T. The museum also has more Model Ts from the early 1900s as well as Ford's throughout the ages.

Mr. Ford, at a young age and throughout his life, believed that education was the key to success.  As Ford would say, "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether he is 20 or 80. Anyone who keeps learning stays young." We would like to take this opportunity on his birthday to help others by teaching children, parents, and even well versed car enthusiasts about Ford as a student, an entrepreneur, and an innovator. No matter what age you are, you are never too old or too young to learn. So take the whole family to the Museum on Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 and join us at the museum for a fun filled day!

Admission tickets will be buy one get one free for our Two for Tuesdays promotion. Any guest purchasing a single ticket will then be discounted $1.50/ ticket in celebration of 150 years of Henry Ford. We will also have kids' activities the whole family can enjoy. There will be a scavenger hunt, crosswords, games, and prizes to be won! Henry Ford was truly an exceptional man that changed the automotive business forever, so what better way to celebrate and learn than by coming to one of the best automobile museums in the country.
