2nd Annual Celebrate LIC + Holiday Party: December 5th

Please join us on Thursday, December 5th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM to celebrate the holiday season in LIC and preview the LIC Flea & Food Holiday Market!  

A curated selection of vendors from the LIC Flea & Food will sell food and gift items. There will be complimentary beer, wine, live music, and installations by local artists. The event is free to attend, and LIC Partnership members will receive special discounts from vendors. RSVP by emailing Ying Huang at [email protected].
How to Help in LIC During the Holidays

Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer's office is collecting canned goods and nonperishable food items for their 4th Annual Holiday Food Drive. Donations are accepted at several locations in Western Queens until December 11. 

Kiwanis Astoria-LIC is hosting an Annual Canned Food Drive and Turkey Voucher ProgramKiwanis Astoria-LIC has expanded donation areas to more than 15 different locations. The program continues past the holidays to January 5th. 

Astori'as St. Francis of Assisi Schools is taking part in the "Sandy Claus" project at their Holiday Market. They are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Shop and Eat in LIC this Weekend: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday & LIC Food Tasting Crawl
 
Several LIC businesses are offering Black Friday Deals on Friday, November 29 including Tiny You, Rejuvenate Spa and Matted LIC. Also open for holiday shopping on Friday is LIC Living and BrickHouse Ceramic Arts Center.
 
Saturday, November 30th is Small Business Saturday, a campaign sponsored by American Express to help connect businesses and residents in neighborhoods throughout the City. Use #ShopSmall on your social media to connect with businesses and other shoppers. LIC Food Tasting Crawl, "Leftovers for Leftovers," hosted by the Long Island City Restaurant Association, is Saturday, November 30 beginning at Masso at 4 PM. The cost is $8 per venue. The crawl continues to: Sage General Store, Manducatis Rustica, Alobar, Woodbines, Creek and the Cave, Domaie Bar A Vins and Alewife.
