Neighborhood Celebration with Shopping and Art Brighten the Holiday Season

The 2nd Annual Celebrate LIC, hosted by LIC Partnership and Modern Spaces brought hundreds of attendees to enjoy music, drinks and kick-off the LIC Flea Holiday Market.

Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer and Queens Borough President-elect Melinda Katz opened the event, recognizing the vibrancy of the neighborhood and unique sense of pride in the community. LIC Partnership President Liz Lusskin joined Josh Schneps of the LIC Flea and Eric Benaim of Modern Spaces to thank attendees and all who participated in the event including Plaxall for providing the space, Kenny Greenberg, Jesse Winter and The Center For Holographic Arts for providing the art installations, Sage Music for the live Jazz and GOWEX for their support.

More than 50 vendors were at the event selling food and gift items. Each vendor offered special deals or discounts to LIC Partnership Members. Photos from the event can be viewed on our Facebook page.

The LIC Flea & Food Holiday Market continues this weekend December 14-15 and next weekend December 21-22. The Holiday Market is located at 5-25 46th Avenue. Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM Saturday and Sunday.
