Beverly McNeil Gallery & Portraits, Inc.

Enjoy a special Russian art exhibition, "Winter Dreams," which features inspired paintings by gallery artists, and a live concert by an Alabama Symphony Orchestra quartet. The art show will run through the month of February.

ASO presents Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2

February 5-6, 8 p.m.

Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center

Tchaikovsky's Second Piano Concerto is imbued with the same beautiful textures and electrifying pianism as its more famous predecessor. Accomplished pianist Alon Goldstein also joins this second Russian program and finale of the Winter Dreams Festival.

Fannie Lou Hamer: This Little Light

RMTC Cabaret Theatre

Alabama native and MacArthur Fellow Billie Jean Young writes, directs, and stars in this one-woman show, an intimate portrayal of the triumphant spirit of Civil Rights icon, Fannie Lou Hamer.

Alabama Ballet's Second Tuesday

Alabama Ballet Center for Dance

Prior to productions, Alabama Ballet opens the studio to the community to offer a sneak peak of the upcoming show, a Q&A with the artistic staff, a chance to meet and greet company dancers, and complimentary beverages. This event will highlight the upcoming performance of Don Quixote.
