Immigration - What to Expect?
What do a new Administration and Congress mean for federal laws and policy surrounding immigration? Chamber members are invited to learn more in a webinar coming up next Wednesday, February 15, at 1 p.m. hosted by K&L Gates offered through the Great Lakes Metro Chamber Coalition.

The webinar will include information on potential changes to H and L skilled worker visas, E-verify, NAFTA and TN visas for workers from Canada and Mexico and related topics. This is important topic for the agriculture sector, the tourism industry and other segments of our regional business community. Government Relations Director Kent Wood has more details and sign-up information for the event in his latest Northern Michigan Business Blog.

Next BAH Stop - Bagger Dave's
We're always excited to visit new venues for the Chamber's Business After Hours. We'll do just that next Wednesday, February 15, when the event chugs into Bagger Dave's Burger Tavern in the Grand Traverse Mall for our monthly fun fest from 5 - 7 p.m.

Business After Hours is a great vehicle for connecting with business contacts who are active in your Chamber. Beyond the networking, there's food, refreshments, prize drawings and ample opportunities to expand your business circle. These events never disappoint, and we've got several exciting venues on this year's schedule. We'll see everyone at Business After Hours!
